Stéblová: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Stéblová combines marked trails with traces of a multifaceted local history. From the Stéblová railway stop, a marked yellow hiking trail provides an approximately 8 km route to Kunětická hora. The Okruh Stéblová loop begins at Stéblová railway station; directly beyond the road, a sandy forest path continues, while a yellow-marked KČT hiking trail leads back to Stéblová railway station. Stéblová also has rail connections to Pardubice and Hradec Králové.

Culture and History

At the southern end of Stéblová village square stands a sandstone cross. It was erected in 1899 to mark the 50th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I. Next to the cross on the village square stands a fire station with a small bell tower.

The history of the village is closely linked to the Oplatil fishpond: Stéblová was rebuilt in 1549 directly below the southeastern edge of the Oplatil fishpond’s side dam. The original village of Stéblová was flooded by the Oplatil fishpond. A monument at the railway station commemorates the 1960 railway accident.

Nature

The Obecní rybník in Stéblová was revitalized in 2022–2023 and equipped with a waterside promenade, access stairs, and an access ramp. Since the last revitalization, fishing competitions have been held regularly at Stéblovský rybníček.

Events

The traditional Stéblovský pohár firefighting sports competition takes place around the turn of July and August. Stéblová’s village festival at the end of July includes a Neckiáda on the village pond. In January, visitors can attend the zabíjačkové hody feast.
