Nová Sídla: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The present-day settlement of Nová Sídla developed in approximately three construction phases; its parts include Stará strana, Kozí hřbet and Ovčí. One specific historical date associated with the village is 1876: that year, the Chapel of St. Anne in Nová Sídla was built.

History and village life

The war grave or memorial to the victims of the First World War in Nová Sídla dates from 1921. A practical everyday facility is the municipal library. It is located on the first floor of the fire station, has a computer and a printer, and offers public internet access.

A valuable Baroque barn was built on the site of the former Sedlíšťka fortress in the 18th century. A round castle plateau surrounded by a moat and minor wall remains have also been preserved there.

Landscape along the Loučná

The Loučná flows north of Nová Sídla. A regional biocorridor has been designated along the river, part of which extends into the municipality's territory. Nová Sídla lies in a landscape shaped by forestry and agriculture.

In the immediate surroundings, Zahořanský Kopec and Na Slínovatích [Horky] are recorded as hills. In the wider regional area are the named landscape features Jarošov and Řetová, recorded as mountains.

Marked routes

A marked red hiking trail runs through Sedlíšťka. Cycle route 4021 also passes through the cadastral area of Nová Sídla.
