Jevíčko: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Jevíčko lies in the northern part of the fertile Malá Haná region. The former synagogue building, the Baroque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, and the former Augustinian monastery provide the town with distinctive historical landmarks.

Culture and history

The present-day synagogue building in Jevíčko was built in 1792 and renovated in 1907. The former Jewish synagogue is now a place of worship for the Czechoslovak Hussite Church; exhibitions and concerts are also held there.

The Baroque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Jevíčko was rebuilt in the Baroque style between 1762 and 1766. The former Augustinian monastery next to the church was probably founded as early as 1370 by the Moravian Margrave Jan.

The collections of the Jevíčko City Museum can also be visited outside opening hours by prior telephone appointment.

Routes through Jevíčko

The Městský okruh Jevíčko consists of seven stations with information boards describing the sights and historical sites in the respective area. The urban walking route through Jevíčko leads through the town’s heritage conservation area and to historical sights.

The Bartolomějská pilgrimage route connects the town of Jevíčko with the Chapel of St. Bartholomew and the sanatorium near Jevíčko.

Cycling and exercise

The town of Jevíčko is a partner in the Cyklookruhy project. It provides clear routes for road cycling and mountain biking tours, as well as tips on interesting destinations in Jevíčko and the surrounding area that can be visited along the routes. The “Skrz Maló Hanó” cycling route runs through the Malá Haná region and focuses on significant and memorable places.

The popular Žlíbka sports and leisure complex is within walking distance of the center of Jevíčko. The complex, with its swimming pool and sports hall, is still actively used today.
