Culture and History

Borušov carries its history in its place names, crosses, and buildings. The Formanský Cross is one of the reconciliation crosses in Borušov, while the Cikánský Cross is considered a reconciliation cross. The name Borušov is derived from the name of the feudal lord Boreš z Rýzmburka, who carried out colonisation here in the mid-13th century. In 1398, Borušov and its forests appear among the possessions of the Moravská Třebová estate.

The architectural landmark of Borušov is a chapel in the southern part of the village. There are also four crosses in various parts of Borušov. Traces of former sandstone quarrying can also be found in the area.
