Závada is located in the Hlučín Uplands. The remains of Hrádek Závada are situated in Panský les; their construction is cautiously dated to the last quarter of the 13th century. The remains consist of an oval core with two concentric ditches and ramparts.
History and Culture
The Chapel of Saint Urban in Závada was built in 1898 and serves as a church for the residents of Závada.
Trails and Landscape
In 2020, an educational trail to Hrádek Závada was established in Závada, featuring interactive elements. Along the southwestern boundary of Závada, a yellow-marked hiking trail runs from the Vřesina area towards the municipal boundary with Bohuslavice.
At the edge of the Sedliska forest on the border with Píšť stands a protected English oak. Cycling route 6091 (Bolatice–Hať) runs near Závada’s sports complex.
