Jablonné v Podještědí: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The urban heritage conservation zone is the original historic town centre of Jablonné v Podještědí. The surviving town walls form fragments of a unique medieval Gothic fortification system dating from the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries.

History and Townscape

A Baroque plague column dominates Náměstí míru. It was erected in 1687 in gratitude for the averted major plague epidemic of 1680. The former brewery tower continues to serve as a lookout tower and houses an information centre. The viewing gallery in the tower of the former Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is also open to visitors and offers views of the town and its surroundings.

Culture and Zdislava

The Minor Basilica of Saint Lawrence and Saint Zdislava is open to visitors. Themed guided tours lead through the monastery refectory, the cloister, the basilica and the crypt. The basilica stands above the tomb of Saint Zdislava; for centuries, people in Jablonné v Podještědí have come to this tomb to seek help and intercession.

The audiovisual exhibition CESTA leads visitors on a meditative journey to Saint Zdislava through underground passages and uses light, shadow, sounds, as well as quotations from the Bible and the Dalimil Chronicle.

Path to the Spring

The trip from the basilica to Zdislavina studánka is approximately 2 km long and follows a green-marked hiking trail. Zdislavina studánka is a healing-water spring below Lemberk, adorned with an Empire-style gloriette with eight Tuscan columns.

Leisure at the Outdoor Pool

At the outdoor pool in Jablonné v Podještědí, visitors can swim, sunbathe, play badminton, table tennis and beach volleyball, go bowling and play minigolf.
