Hohendorf - Abaschin: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

A spa hiking trail leads through the Slavkovský les via Zádub-Závišín and onward to the distinctive Podhorní vrch. Zádub-Závišín is located in the Slavkovský les Protected Landscape Area.

Landscape and trails

Cycle route 2284 reaches Zádub via a field path. From Zádub, it continues along a cycle path to Závišín. Part of the nearby golf course extends into the cadastral area of Zádub-Závišín.

Podhorní vrch is the highest peak of the Tepelská vrchovina and has two summits offering views of the surrounding landscape. The mountain is an extinct volcano and has been a nature reserve since 1997. The Podhorni vrch mountain is also located in the immediate vicinity of Zádub-Závišín. The mountains Spálený, Lysina and Ovčák are also located in the surrounding area.

Culture and history

The former Hohendörfer Höhe Café stood on the Zádubská výšina in the cadastral area of Zádub. It was a destination for walks taken by the first spa guests.

The reconciliation cross on the village green in Závišín is a protected cultural heritage site. The Smírčí kříž in Závišín was restored and moved to the village green after originally being found in a roadside ditch on the road to Milhostov. It stands in a triangular park on the village green opposite the war memorial.
