Hiking and Cycling
There are four marked hiking trails in the Kraslice area, in blue, red, yellow and green. The blue-marked hiking trail begins at the signpost in Kraslice and leads via Tisovské rozcestí to Olověný vrch. The red-marked hiking trail continues via Kraslice to the Rájecké údolí valley and the former municipality of Rolava.
Cycling route 2178 leads from Sokolov to Kraslice and onwards to the border near Klingenthal.
Winter
In winter, winter sports enthusiasts can use ski routes along the ridges running along the Czech-German border, as well as several downhill runs with lifts.
Culture and History
The history of Kraslice began in the 13th century, when the Neuhaus watch castle was founded on an important trade route from Loket to Germany. In 1541, Kraslice received the prestigious status of a free mining town and flourished at that time primarily through the mining of copper, lead and tin.
On Zámecký vrch, Hradiště preserves the remains of a 13th-century castle, including sections of wall, a round bastion, a moat and a three-metre-deep cavity carved into the rock. In the centre of Kraslice, the neo-Romanesque Děkanský kostel Božího těla church has stood since 1896 on the site of an older medieval church building.
The Kraslice Railway Museum in Kraslice is a tourist attraction; during the season, it is open only on Saturdays. The former municipal slaughterhouse complex in Kraslice features unique architecture and technical equipment.
