The route of the Habartov March begins at the sports field in Habartov. It is 21.7 km long, runs mainly along paved paths, and is also recommended for cycling tours.

Landscape and Nature

The Lobezský vrch and Chrudim mountains are located around Habartov. The Špičák and Galgenberg mountains are also situated in the wider surrounding region.

The Lítovská educational trail, subtitled “Artificial Semi-Desert”, is located on the Lítovská spoil heap. A continuous plant cover develops only with difficulty on the highly acidic substrates of the Lítovská educational trail, creating a unique natural environment with unusual flora and fauna. The reclaimed Lítovská spoil heap consists mainly of material from the former Libík, Boden, and Medard open-cast lignite mines.

Active Pursuits

There is an inline skating track and a workout course at Lake Boden. Inline Boden has an inline skating track, a building, beach courts, and Russian skittle alleys.

Culture and Remembrance

The Museum of the Security Forces is located in the Kluč district of Habartov. It was established as a worthy memorial to the heroes of the so-called Habartov Incident. During this event, Czechoslovak gendarmes and Sudeten Germans clashed in Habartov on 13 September 1938. The Museum of the Security Forces addresses the tragic events of 1938.

The Memorial to the Gendarmes Shot in Habartov is a memorial featuring a bronze relief in the shape of a waving flag with a projecting Bohemian double-tailed lion, as well as a bronze plaque bearing the names of the gendarmes who fell there on 13 September 1938. In the wider surrounding region of Habartov lies the Church of St. Michael in Bad Brambach.
