Culture and History

The Church of svatá Kateřiny is one of the oldest sacred buildings in the Cheb region. Its foundation is dated to 1213 or 1273. Nová Ves features an original medieval circular village that developed around a pond. In Nová Ves u Křižovatky, there is also the protected wayside shrine “Boží muka” with registration number 11957/4-4768. In Mostek u Křižovatky, the protected atonement cross “Francouzský kámen” with registration number 26690/4-4259 is located.

Nature and Trails

Křižovatka is surrounded by two floodplain streams and lies in a landscape with rich fauna and flora. Nová Ves is located on one of the routes to the SOOS nature reserve. Tourist routes and educational trails run along the Kateřinský potok, also known as Sázek. One of several tourist routes in the surroundings of Křižovatka leads to the small settlement of Kateřina.
