Tursko: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The dominant landmark of Tursko is the Church of Saint Martin. Its history dates back to the period before its consecration in 1700: construction of the new church began in 1698.

Culture and History

The restored Křížovnická Residence, which has had its current form since 1725, is also part of the historic character of the village. The historic farm complex in Tursko was built as early as 1661. The village’s history also reflects its connection to the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star: Tursko was part of its economic hinterland.

Archaeology

South of Tursko lies the Krliš archaeological site, which was already used as a burial ground during the Late Únětice culture. A burial mound was created on the summit of Krliš during the transition from the Hallstatt to the La Tène period; further burial activities took place there in the Early Middle Ages.

The archaeological finds are concentrated in a strip stretching from Krliš Hill to Těšina. The oldest archaeological finds from the cadastral area of Tursko date back to 1828. The area around Tursko also contains burial mounds from Ers to Chýnovský Háj.

Hiking and Music

A yellow-marked hiking route ends in Tursko. The recurring musical event Turské hudební odpoledne also takes place in the village; the municipality announced its seventh edition.
