Tatce: Apartments and Holiday Homes

Tatce is located on the fourth stage of the Blaník–Říp pilgrimage route. The route is divided into seven stages and is just under 190 kilometres long.

Geographical Location

Cycle Route No. 109 runs directly through Tatce. The village is situated in a predominantly flat landscape. Road II/334 also runs through Tatce, connecting Sadská, Kouřim and Sázava. Tatce lies on the Prague–Kolín railway line.

Routes and Stories

Tatce is stop 7 on the Tajuplná místa Podlipanska route. It consists of 20 numbered information boards distributed among remarkable locations and various municipalities. The boards present local stories and legends associated with the respective places, supplemented by photographs and further information.

As the individual stops on the Tajuplná místa Podlipanska route are several kilometres apart, the route is more suitable for motorists or cyclists.

History and Character of the Village

The first written mention of Tatce dates from 1292. In the western part of Tatce stands the Chapel of the Virgin Mary, a rectangular chapel from 1843 with a superstructure for a bell.

The Za Mlýnem settlement dates back to around 900 BC, placing it in the Late Bronze Age. Excavations at Za Mlýnem uncovered the skeletal graves of a child from the Early Bronze Age, approximately 2000–1550 BC, and a middle-aged woman from the Middle Bronze Age, approximately 1500–1300 BC.

Leisure and Events

The multipurpose sports field in Tatce is intended for sports and leisure activities for the general public. The Dětské hřiště U Statku playground features a rope carousel, swings, climbing elements, a slide and spring rocking equipment.

The Tatecká fošna event took place on 31 August 2024 at the swimming pool in Tatce as an entertaining family afternoon. Its programme included crossing a plank by bicycle and with a wheelbarrow, a surf trainer, face painting for children, airbrushing, a parkour show and an evening music programme.
