Stranný: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

An approximately 20 km-long hiking trail leads through Stranný, continues past a chapel (Boží muka), and returns to Neveklov. The red-marked hiking route passes Provodná hora.

Trails and Landscape

There is a chapel (Boží muka) from the mid-19th century in Stranný. Next to the chapel above Stranný, there is a signpost and a rest area.

Remembrance and History

The memorial to those who fell in the First World War on Provodná was erected on a hill above the village so that it could be seen from each of the ten settlements assigned to Stranný at the time. It was ceremonially unveiled on 18 September 1921. The memorial bears the names of 26 local residents who fell or died in the war from 1914 to 1918. After its confiscation, Stranný was used by the Prosečnice SS Panzergrenadier School.
