Seletice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Seletice was probably established as early as before the beginning of the 14th century at the southeastern foot of the Loučeňský Ridge.

Nature and Landscape

A significant part of Seletice’s cadastral area encompasses a considerable section of the extensive Svatojířský Forest. The Seletický Stream rises in Seletice.

In the immediate surroundings of Seletice, Holoviska [Křinec-Sovenice] is a hill. Zámrsky [Košík-Tuchom], another hill, is also located nearby. The hill (Svatojiřský Forest) [Pěčice] is likewise in the immediate vicinity of Seletice.

In the wider regional surroundings of Seletice, Valdštejn is a church. U Borku [Záhornice u Městce Králové] is a mountain there.

History and Village Culture

On Seletice’s small upper village square, next to a wooden bell tower, stands a presumably later-installed folk-style statue of the Virgin Mary.

Plastered and unplastered log houses have been preserved in Seletice. František Kordač was born in 1852 in Seletice, house no. 53. In 1919, he became the first civil Archbishop of Prague and Primate of the Czechs.
