Neuměřice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Neuměřice lies in the valley of the approximately 25-kilometre-long Svatojiřský Stream. It rises near Libušín, flows to Kralupy nad Vltavou, joins the Zákolanský Stream there, and empties into the Vltava.

Landscape and Outdoor Activities

Cycle Route 202 passes through Neuměřice. It runs via Kralupy nad Vltavou, Žižice, Slaný, Královice, Neprobylice, Třebíz and Panenský Týnec to Louny. U Pískoven [Černuc-Nabdín], a hill, is located in the surrounding area; U pěšinky [Hobšovice], also a hill, is nearby. Further afield in the Neuměřice region are Střelecký ostrov, an island, and Velké Benátky, an island.

Local recreational facilities include a disc golf course which, according to the municipality's description, is suitable for children, families, athletes and seniors.

History and Culture

Archaeological finds in Neuměřice include the remains of a prehistoric settlement with refuse pits, as well as a skeletal grave. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary of Svatá Hora and Saint Ludmila in Neuměřice was built approximately between 1798 and 1800. A new bell was consecrated for the chapel in Neuměřice in September 2007. The chapel was reconstructed again in September 2016; it had already been reconstructed in 1991.

The history of science is also connected with the village: Martin Bacháček's astronomical work brought him into contact with Tadeáš Hájek z Hájku and Johannes Kepler.
