In the center of Malotice stands St. Matthew's Church in an area enclosed by a perimeter wall. The single-nave, rectangular building has rounded corners, a semi-oval apse, and a tower positioned in the center of the west façade.

Culture and History

St. Matthew's Church is the pseudo-Romanesque replacement built in 1864 for a presumably Romanesque church from the first half of the 13th century, which was first mentioned in 1309.

Inside, the late Baroque high altar features a Rococo painting of Saint Matthew from 1798. It was created by Vít Prossil, the parish priest of Malotice; on either side are Rococo statues of Saint Procopius and Saint Adalbert dating from the 1760s. On the south wall of the church stands the Baroque sandstone statue of Saint Procopius, created in 1703 and attributed, due to stylistic similarities, to the Kutná Hora sculptor František Martin Katterbauer.

The former fortress of Malotice stands on the bank of a pond in the western part of the village, on the site of the former farmyard. The former fortress granary stands in a farmyard in the northern part of Malotice. The complex of the former fortress and present-day granary includes a massive two-storey building with remnants of Renaissance sgraffito on the façades, as well as a perimeter wall with arcade arches.
