Běleč in the Křivoklátsko region: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

A red-marked hiking trail leads directly from Běleč to the ruins of Jenčov Castle. In Běleč and the surrounding forests, hikers and cyclists can discover historic monuments and beautiful natural spots. In winter, cross-country skiers use the area around Běleč when there is snow.

Trails and History

The regional cycling route 0049 Ploskovická kaštanka–Běleč–Žlubinec–Nižbor runs through the administrative area of Běleč and is designated in the zoning plan. The Bělečské okruhy cycling race was held for the first time on 17 September 1988 on the Běleč–Bratronice–Nižbor–Luby–Běleč route.

Nature

Běleč is located in the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. The Vůznice National Nature Reserve covers 66 hectares. It protects preserved natural forest communities characteristic of the stream valleys of Křivoklátsko and includes a deeply incised valley of the Vůznice stream with forests typical of the Central European uplands.

Around Běleč, numerous flowering wild plants grow in the forests, meadows and along the edges of fields, including butterbur and autumn crocus; some of them are rare and protected. Every summer and autumn, the forests around Běleč attract mushroom pickers from the nearby area and farther afield.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Nicholas in Běleč dates from the first half of the 14th century and has been documented in writing since 1352. A tour of Běleč includes the church with an old cemetery and cellars beneath the church. The Church of St. Nicholas was repaired in 1704; in 1717, a wooden shingle-roofed bell tower was built on a masonry base at the cemetery wall.

A Svatojánské sousoší near the oldest lime trees in the Kladno District is also included in a tour of Běleč.
