Culture

The Chapel of Saint Roch stands in the center of Gornje Sitno. It was built in 1975 on the foundations of an older church, which probably dates from the 19th century.

The Church of Saint Luke stands in the forest at the foot of Makirina. Its elevation is 498 meters, according to a measurement taken before the First World War.

The old Croatian Chapel of Saints Cosmas and Damian is considered the oldest chapel in Sitno and lies on the slopes of Mosor at an altitude of 720 meters.

The historic Church of Saint Clement is located in Gornje Sitno below Mosor, is listed as a cultural monument, and has an oldest section dating from the 12th century. It is associated with the cultural heritage of the historic region of Poljica.

Soparnik is a protected traditional dish associated with the wider Poljica region; it may be made there and referred to as “soparnik”.
