Culture

In Ivoševci, Burnum consists of the remains of a Roman military camp. It was built in the 1st century and served as the headquarters of Rome’s XI Legion, and later of the IV Legion.

The amphitheatre of Burnum was built as a foundation of Emperor Vespasian; its capacity is estimated at between 6,000 and 10,000 spectators.

Archaeological finds from Burnum are displayed in the Burnum Archaeological Collection at the Krka Eco Campus in Puljane.

Burnumske ide include a fair where visitors can learn about aspects of life in ancient Rome. The event has been organised every summer in Burnum since 2011.

Nature

An area of 446 hectares in Ivoševci lies within Krka National Park.

Manojlovac Waterfall is another destination in Krka National Park. It can be reached by road via Kistanje and Ivoševci; there is a car park near the remains of the arches of Burnum’s command building.

Manojlovac is also located on the Knin–Kistanje road near Burnum.
