Kuna Pelješka: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

Kuna Pelješka is presented as a place associated with the painter Celestin Mato Medović. His monument, created by Ivan Meštrović, stands in the centre. Works by Medović are displayed in his birthplace, in the Church of Gospe Delorite and in the gallery of the Franciscan monastery.

Cycling

The official MTB Trail 2 forms a circular route of approximately 39–40 kilometres: Kuna–Janjina–Trpanj–Oskorušno–Kuna. It starts at the Franciscan monastery and the Church of St Delorita, crosses vineyards after the first kilometre on paved roads, and is explicitly described as unmarked.

Surroundings

An old road from Kuna Pelješka descends to Crkvice on the northern side of the Pelješac peninsula. The former wine-trading port is now described as a bathing spot with a beach. Celestin Medović’s summer residence from the early 20th century is also recorded there.

Milakov Luk, Gradac, Srednjak, Čerjan, Sveti Juraj and Kremena are located in the surrounding area of Kuna Pelješka. Sveti Liberan and Sveta Margareta are located in the wider regional surroundings of Kuna Pelješka.

Wine

Associated with Kuna Pelješka are the OPG Zlatan Jurović winery at Kuna 43 and the Vina Violić wine shop at Kuna 38. Vina Violić produces wines from Plavac mali and also offers products associated with the Rukatac and Pošip grape varieties.
