Brod na Kupi: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In the centre of Brod na Kupi, next to the Kupa River, lies Kaštel Zrinskih (Zrinski Castle). The castle dates back to 1651, houses the permanent exhibition “Divljina s pogledom na more” (“Wilderness with a Sea View”) and the “Putovima Frankopana” Interpretation Centre. It is also checkpoint KT 34.
The exhibition presents the natural heritage of Gorski Kotar: from the Kupa Valley and the karst bedrock through forests and high mountains to the sky and clouds. Immersive elements include mosses and lichens, a karst depression, a mine, simulated mountain weather and an artificial climbing wall. There are also encounters with live birds and snakes.
Anyone considering Brod na Kupi as a travel destination may want to rent a holiday apartment there.
