Hiking and Views

The Lupogliano Mahrenfels circular trail leads from Lupoglav through Semić and Kras and back to Lupoglav. After passing through Pristava, it climbs via stairs in the direction of Semić.

An approximately 7 km-long Semić–Brest–Semić hiking route begins at the old school in Semić, reaches the Pod Šćikovico viewpoint, continues through forests and meadows, and returns via Brest. On foot, the route takes approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes.

The Semić–Brest hiking route includes the Pod Šćikovico viewpoint, a developed rest area with views of Lupoglav and the surrounding area, as well as the Nad Krog viewpoint, a developed rest area with views towards Vranja, Boljun, and the wider surroundings.

Culture and History

The Chapel of Saint Lawrence in Semić was built in the second half of the 18th century; its façade features a bell gable. Below the chapel, there is an information board with a hiking map.

Semić was first recorded in 1327. After the fall of Klis, Dalmatian refugees were settled in Semić and the surrounding villages.

Lovrečeva is a folk festival held in Semići within Lupoglav. The annual Lovrečeva celebration includes a cultural program and dancing.

Local Cuisine

Žbravoada is considered a traditional dish from Semić and is described as a stew made with fresh cabbage.
