History

The historic centre of Grimalda includes the Church of St. George from the 13th century, which preserves Romanesque elements and Gothic retaining walls. A larger neoclassical Church of St. George, built in 1891, stands next to it.

Around the feast of Saint George on 23 April, Grimalda hosts Supci pud mavricun, a gathering of young performers of traditional Istrian music.
