Sovinjak is a historic hilltop settlement with a linear layout that widens into a central square with a church. Its heritage includes the Renaissance bell tower of St. George, the Gothic Chapel of St. Roch from the early 16th century with wall paintings created by Domenicus Utinensis in 1571, a granary dating from 1647, as well as preserved Baroque and Classicist houses and palaces.
A church in Sovinjak is used several times for concerts of sacred art.

Cycling
Route 513 TARTUFINA is an official cycling route running Buzet–Sovinjak–Istarske Toplice–Buzet. It passes through Sovinjak and continues towards Brnozi and Sirotići.
The 34.7-kilometre route is classified as difficult. Of this, 12.5 kilometres run on asphalt and 22.2 kilometres on gravel.
