Drage: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Drage is one of the settlements in the Municipality of Rakovica. The municipality’s road network includes the D1, D217 and D42. Road traffic plays an important role because the municipality has no railway infrastructure.

Nature

The Municipality of Rakovica highlights karst landscapes, caves, forests, waterways, lakes, valuable landscapes and grasslands as natural resources for tourism. The Barać Caves are described as a notable attraction for visitors. The guided underground tour there lasts 45 to 60 minutes and takes place at a constant temperature of 9°C; geological and archaeological features are explained during the tour. The site also has free parking and a souvenir shop.

Activities

The Municipality of Rakovica’s developing outdoor tourism offering includes eight established cycling routes, Nordic walking, hiking and trekking, quad and buggy excursions, horseback riding and sport climbing.

Near Drage are Gravčova Glava and Bajićeva Pećina. Panjkova Pećina, Muškinja and Sveta Petka are located in the surrounding area of Drage. In the wider regional area around Drage are Radetina Kula, Otmić Grad and Sveti Nikola.

Culture

The Municipality of Rakovica lists Stari grad Drežnik, the Church of St. Jelena Križarica in Rakovica and the Church of St. Antun Padovanski in Drežnik Grad as registered or preventively protected cultural heritage sites. For Stari grad Drežnik, the municipality also identifies potential for attracting visitors.

Culinary Delights

Rakovica’s established local events include Dani sira, a festival dedicated to cheese, as well as a Christmas market and an Easter celebration featuring exhibitions and the sale of local products and gastronomic offerings.
