Solishta lies in the foothills of the Perelik Massif at an altitude of around 1,400 metres. The village is situated in the valley of the clear Solitska River, a tributary of the Shirokalashka and Vacha rivers.

Nature

In spring, visitors can try fishing on the small Solitska River near Solishta. An activity at the Tsankov-Kamak Reservoir is described as lasting one to three hours; it includes an introduction and life jackets.

Culture

The most important local festival in Solishta is associated with the church festival of St. Nedelya, which takes place in early July. Exarch Stefan I worked as a teacher in Solishta from 1896 to 1900.

The celebrations in Solishta include communal kurbans, bagpipe music and horo dances.
