Pisanitsa: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Every year on August 15, the church feast day, the village gathering takes place in Pisanitsa. It includes a traditional communal offering held in the churchyard; visitors come to this celebration.

Geographical Location

The area surrounding Pisanitsa includes Snezhanka Tower, Kaynadina, Kozuyatak, Karamandzha, and Sveti Vrach. In the wider regional surroundings of Pisanitsa are Farasinós, Pefkólofos, and Pévkoi.

Pisanitsa can be reached via a paved road that branches off from the Smolyan–Plovdiv road via Rozhen. The turn-off continues in the direction of Hasovitsa; from the junction to the village it is approximately 3 km.

The August gathering is associated with Rhodope dishes such as petatnik, Rhodope klin, kolachkove, beans, cabbage-leaf sarma called aprachkove, and cheverme.
