Kravenik: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Kravenik can then continue searching for accommodation. Kravenik's territory includes part of Central Balkan National Park. The park protects self-regulating ecosystems and habitats of rare and endangered species.

History

Kravenik was one of the villages of Sevlievo whose population rose up during the April Uprising of 1876. The April Uprising was proclaimed at the foot of Baban Peak in the Sevlievo kaza.

Historical reenactments of battles from the April Uprising take place at the Boaza locality near Kravenik. A monument was erected in Kravenishki Boaz in 1900 to commemorate the fighting at Gradnishki Boaz. The Monument to Those Killed in the April Uprising also stands in Kravenishki Boaz, on the road leading from Kravenik toward Boaz.

Culture

St Nicholas Church is one of Kravenik's notable sights and stands at the highest point of the village. As a stone church, it has two domes.

Chitalishte Svetlina-1928 has a library with 6,200 volumes and a dance group.

Paths and Traces

At the Smesite locality, the Kravenishka Trail has been mapped as a mountain path that crosses the mountain ridge and descends northward toward Lagat.

Traces of a broader road surface have been recorded in the area of the Smesite locality and on the northern slopes of the mountain range.
