Kormyansko: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Kormyansko can then continue their accommodation search. A water tourism excursion on the Rositsa River and the Alexander Stamboliyski Reservoir was organized by the Rositsa Mazalat Water Tourism Club and the Municipality of Sevlievo. The route began at the chicken farms near Kormyansko and included training for young kayakers. The club also decided to purchase a fully equipped two-person boat for water tourism activities.

Landscape and Nature

Kormyansko is situated in the hilly terrain of the Krushevska Planina and offers views towards the Stara Planina. The village is located near the Alexander Stamboliyski Reservoir; part of Kormyansko's land lies within protected areas and the reservoir's protected zone.

The Alexander Stamboliyski protected zone (BG0000275), classified under the Habitats Directive, lists Kormyansko as one of the settlements included. The zone that encompasses Kormyansko is designated for the conservation of natural habitat types as well as the habitats, populations, and distribution of listed species.

Culture and History

Hotalich is located within the land area of Kormyansko and is an Early Byzantine and medieval fortress and settlement that developed into a large medieval Bulgarian city. Its history dates approximately from the 5th to the 14th century; Hotalich is designated as a cultural monument of national importance.

The Church of Saint Dimitar in Kormyansko was built between 1885 and 1888. The wall paintings were created by the Debar masters Naum and Nencho Ilievi. The church is active for worship; a priest comes from the Batoshevo Men's Monastery.

The local cultural life also includes the community cultural center “Razvitie-1937”. Its 250-seat hall is used for concerts, celebrations, and other cultural events.

Geographical Location

Road III-403 runs through Kormyansko. It connects the village southeastwards with Sevlievo and the I-4/E772 main road, and leads northwestwards towards Pavlikeni.
