Bansko: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nature

The marked Pirin Route III runs from Bansko via Peshterite, Banderitsa Hut and Vihren Hut to Yane Sandanski Hut. In Pirin National Park, the Baykusheva Mura is more than 1,300 years old and is one of the oldest trees in Bulgaria.

Sveti Arhangel is located near Bansko, as is Sveti Ilia. Shilicharnika and Tsarna mogila are located in the surrounding area of Bansko.

Winter Sports

The Bansko ski area is located on the northern slopes of the Pirin Mountains and offers conditions for both beginners and advanced skiers and snowboarders. It has more than 75 kilometres of professionally groomed slopes. A ski road approximately 7 kilometres long connects the upper part of the Bansko ski area with the town.

Culture

Velyan House is a fortified 18th-century house with frescoes, wood-carved decorations, thick stone walls, underground hiding places and loopholes.

An exhibition at Radonova House displays archaeological finds from the Thracian period through antiquity to the Middle Ages, including ceramics, coins, glass, jewellery and preserved vessels. An ethnographic exhibition at Radonova House also presents the local material culture with household items, tools, everyday and festive costumes, jewellery and colourful textiles.

Cuisine

Bansko cuisine includes kapama, chomlek, Katino meze, Banski Starets, Bansko flat sausage and blood sausage, as well as stews, homemade sausages and appetisers.
