Nature

The hiking route through Perućica is approximately 8–9 kilometres long and leads from Dragoš Sedlo through the rainforest towards the Sutjeska Canyon.

The Beskita viewpoint consists of two platforms connected by a path and offers views of Perućica and the Valley of Heroes near Tjentište. Skakavac Waterfall plunges more than 70 metres below the Dragoš Sedlo viewpoint; the viewpoint can be reached by road from Tjentište.

Trails and activities

A 10-kilometre surfaced gravel road connects Tjentište with Dragoš Sedlo. From the car park at Dragoš Sedlo, a path of approximately 100 metres leads to a viewpoint. The hiking trail to the Beskita viewpoint begins on the road from Tjentište to Dragoš Sedlo; walking from the start at the main road takes approximately 20 minutes.

An 18-kilometre cycling tour suitable for beginners starts in Tjentište, leads to the Beskita viewpoint and past Skakavac Waterfall, and ends back in Tjentište. A moderately difficult cycling tour starts in front of Hotel Mladost in Tjentište and leads to Lake Donje Bare in the Zelengora Mountains.

The sports and recreation centre in Tjentište has sports fields for football, futsal, basketball, volleyball, athletics, handball and tennis. A 16,000 m² outdoor swimming pool is located in the immediate vicinity of the youth camp in Tjentište. A guided excursion to Perućica usually starts in front of Hotel Mladost or Komlen Restaurant; from there, off-road vehicles take visitors to the starting point of the hike at Dragoš Sedlo.

Events

The three-day OK Fest takes place every year in July in Tjentište. Numerous local and international artists perform on three festival stages at OK Fest, accompanied by OK entertainment.
