History and culture

Baćin in Laminci Sređani is a medieval Gradište, that is, a fortified earthwork protected by two ramparts.

The Church of the Holy Prophet Elijah stands at the Cintor site in Laminci Sređani. Cintor, also known as Fox Hill, was the site of a fortress in Roman times. The Livač or Levač castle was built in the Middle Ages on the foundations of this Roman fortress.

There was a pre-Roman settlement on the Ivaštani field in Laminci Sređani, which also continued to exist during Roman times. Laminci Sređani is also home to a monument commemorating partisan fighters who fell and victims of fascist terror from 1941 to 1945. The monument is connected with the villages of Laminci Brezici, Laminci Dubrave, Laminci Sređani and Laminci Jaružani.

Laminci Sređani is home to the birthplace of Prote Subotić. It is considered an example of the rural landscape of the late 19th century. Prote Dusan Subotic (1884–1941), a figure of the Burgenland Enlightenment, was born in this house.

A traditional Ilindan Zbor is held in Laminci.
