Holiday apartment in Dračevice – Vidikovac viewpoint and Velež Bike Park

One of Dračevice’s tourist attractions is the Vidikovac Dračevice viewpoint. It is located at the ninth kilometre of road M.6.1 from Mostar to Nevesinje, directly behind the settlement of Dračevice. From the viewpoint, the Buna River is visible over almost its entire course.

Culture and history

The Vidikovac Dračevice viewpoint is located on an old Austro-Hungarian road. Local activists built a promenade there, from which you can see the tower of Herceg Stjepan Kosača. In addition, a 500-metre section of the Austro-Hungarian road was cleared and made accessible again. A mosque was built in Dračevice. In the immediate surroundings, the old town of Blagaj is regarded as a silent witness to the thousand-year history of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Cycling and trails

Velež Bike Park has an information point in Dračevice in front of the cultural centre. The park includes 200 km of mapped and marked forest and gravel trails, primarily intended for mountain biking. The Velež Brasina–Kaočina–Gornji Banjdol–Dedići MTB tour passes through Dračevice. For Velež Bike Park, it is recommended to use the marked trails with the help of small maps or GPS devices. Nature

The Bekatova Cave is located near Dračevice, in the Crvene stijene. It is situated below the village of Podveleža and above Dračevice. Bekatova Cave consists of a single undivided cavity.

Getting there

The Mostar Bus Line 16 operates between Sjeverni logor, Dračevice and Podveležje, providing a connection with Mostar. The Mostar Bus timetable dated 16 June 2025 also lists Line 13 between Sjeverni Logor and Dračevice. Both lines explicitly name Dračevice as a stop on their respective routes.
