Maison du Site Minier: history to discover

The Maison du Site Minier was built in 1645. Today, it houses an interpretation centre dedicated to the history of Plombières and its natural setting. The development of mining can also be put into context: the Site Minier de Plombières grew out of metallurgical activities that developed until the beginning of the 20th century.

The building itself bears important traces of history. The roof and façades were listed as protected heritage in 1982. In 2007, the Maison du Site Minier was completely renovated using identical materials and modern techniques. The complete renovation was carried out using identical materials and modern techniques.
