The Sentier de Tyto was developed in collaboration with the municipality of Wanze. This 3-kilometre family educational trail begins at the school in Huccorgne and leads through the Bois du Thier Molu. Along the way, walkers follow Tyto, a barn owl that lives in the church tower, and come across traces of animals found in the region.

The educational panels turn the route into a discovery trail with practical activities: they offer children anecdotes, quiz questions, challenges and various games. For families, this trail can therefore be a focus of the trip in its own right, while the paths around Château de Moha and along the Mehaigne offer a different character. This allows the day to be varied between playful learning, landscapes and culture.

Archaeological finds and historic traces

At Château de Moha, the reception building houses an exhibition featuring several archaeological finds discovered at Château de Moha. It complements the view of the visible remains with tangible artefacts. Val de Rodum is also connected with the history of the site: in 1209, the Count of Moha donated his lands to a community of Cistercian nuns, who had Val Notre-Dame Abbey built there.

Along the Promenade de la Pierre on Rue du Madot, you will also come across the remains of former lime kilns dating from the second half of the 19th century. These historic traces add another layer to the landscape, without requiring nature and culture to be considered separately.
