Discover Trois-Ponts – between three rivers

Trois-Ponts owes its name to a special geographical location: the town lies at the confluence of the three rivers Amblève, Salm and Bâleur. There are also routes for very different travel plans – from completely flat walking trails to a long driving route and mountain-bike trails. Rivers, a pilgrimage route and special places

One defining experience in Trois-Ponts is the connection between the landscape and the history of its routes. The town lies on the Via Arduinna, one of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela. Within Trois-Ponts, the Via Arduinna passes the Faix du Diable site. Those who prefer travelling by car can plan the Panorama Route. It is 50 km long and consists of two loops of 25 km each. The driving route passes through Basse-Bodeux, Logbiermé, Mont Saint Jacques and Wanne. For more active days, the Extratrail network in Trois-Ponts offers interconnected routes of 10, 17, 23 and 37 km, starting at the Syndicat d’Initiative. There are also three mountain-bike routes measuring 11, 15 and 34 km.

Culture, treasure hunts and local impressions

Families who enjoy exploring can also try a special approach: Louis Le Castor’s three playful routes run through Trois-Ponts, Basse-Bodeux and Wanne. They combine treasure hunts with information about local history, cultural heritage, and the animal and plant life. At the Musée de la Haute Ardenne in Wanne, Trois-Ponts, educational activities and guided tours are available by prior reservation.

Another local experience is offered by a distillery in Trois-Ponts. It can be visited by appointment and offers a tasting. Together with the railway station, bus connections and access to the RAVeL network, this creates a varied picture of the town: Trois-Ponts is suitable as a starting point for trails, landscape experiences, culture and regional discoveries.
