Kamenicë can be explored through two closely connected themes: the Kamenica Tumulus and the landscape in the regional surroundings of Korçë. The Kamenica Tumulus is a first-category cultural monument and comprises more than 400 Bronze Age burial sites. The Kamenica Tumulus contains 400 graves, the skeletal remains of 430 individuals, and more than 3,500 objects. The Kamenica Tumulus also has an area dedicated to experimental archaeology. The Kamenica Tumulus has a visitor information center. It presents the history of the burial site and important research findings through information panels, reconstructed graves, objects, a reconstruction model of the tumulus, and multimedia materials. This provides a range of ways to communicate knowledge, from labeled panels and reconstructed graves to models and digital materials.

Surroundings

The official tourism portal for Korçë lists Lake Prespa, Drenova National Park, and the Illyrian Tumulus of Kamenica as destinations in the surroundings of Korçë.
