Eagle Point is a small settlement with distinctive natural features and is considered a popular tourist destination. Two different aspects are central to planning a visit: the Eagle Point Foreshore Hub, with several facilities grouped together, and the landscape around Lake King, which can be experienced on walks. Consider whether you would prefer to focus on the playground and facilities at the Hub, or on the paths and views in the surrounding area. This distinction gives your search for a holiday rental a practical starting point: the kind of days you want, rather than a general idea of the place.

Facilities at the Eagle Point Foreshore Hub

The Eagle Point Foreshore Hub has public toilets and a large terrace overlooking Lake King. The Hub also houses the reception and convenience store for Eagle Point Caravan Park. Shared paths connect the Eagle Point foreshore, playground, pavilion, toilets and Hub building without requiring you to cross a road. Ramps lead to the adventure playground at the Hub. For families travelling with children, it can be an activity alongside walks and the foreshore. This makes it possible to plan the playground, pavilion and terrace as several stops during a visit. Facility details, path layouts and operating arrangements may change; check the latest information before your visit if needed.

Walks and landscape around Lake King

The naturally formed Mitchell River Silt Jetties extend 8 km into Lake King. Visitors can walk to them from Eagle Point. Their reach into the lake makes them a different landscape highlight from the Eagle Point Foreshore Hub, whose paths connect several facilities. Visitors can also walk to Bluff Lookout in the area around Eagle Point. There are also expansive views over the lake near Eagle Point. This offers a choice of two walking destinations with different character: the long, narrow Silt Jetties and Bluff Lookout. The view from the large terrace, by contrast, is right at the Hub, while walks to the Silt Jetties and Bluff Lookout lead into the surrounding area.

Swimming spots and travel planning

There are also sheltered swimming spots near Eagle Point. Check the conditions and suitability at the location before swimming. Swimming adds another water-based activity to the walks and lookout points. When planning your day, you can therefore choose between a walk to a landscape destination, a visit to the Hub and swimming in the surrounding area.

Choose a holiday rental to suit your stay

You can put this distinction to practical use when searching for a holiday rental: if the playground and facilities at the Hub are on your itinerary, factor the Hub into your choice of location; for walks to the Silt Jetties or Bluff Lookout, focus on the landscape. This way, you can shape your search around the stay you have planned, rather than choosing a holiday rental based only on the place name.
