Glenbeulah offers several ways to shape your stay: Mill Pond and the surrounding natural landscape, trails for hiking and mountain biking, and a mill with a history as a processing and production site. The village parks also offer a variety of features—from sports courts and a playground to a nature walk. If you’re looking for a vacation rental in Glenbeulah, you can plan your stay around whether you’d rather spend most of your time outdoors, learn about local history, or enjoy the parks.

Hiking and Mountain Biking Around Greenbush

The Greenbush Trail System near the Greenbush group campground offers opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. The Greenbush Picnic Area/Trailhead is at N5658 Kettle Moraine Drive in Glenbeulah, between Hwy 67 and County Road T near Greenbush. For navigation, both the trailhead’s name and the road details identify the starting point.

In the Northern Unit of Kettle Moraine State Forest, you can hike the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. The trail runs for 31 miles through the Kettle Moraine State Forest–Northern Unit. This distance describes its route through the area; it does not indicate how long any individual hike must be. For your stay, you can choose between the broader offerings of the Greenbush Trail System and the named section of the long-distance trail.

The Greenbush group campground is open for camping from April through November. It offers nine non-electric outdoor campsites for groups of up to 40 people. This is an option specifically for camping, distinct from looking for a vacation rental. Mill Pond and the surrounding natural landscape are also among Glenbeulah’s major attractions.

Village Parks and Local History

At John Hanson Memorial Park, also known as Village Park, you’ll find a baseball field, a pickleball court, a tennis court, an asphalt basketball court, a sand volleyball court, and a playground. The park therefore includes several different sports areas as well as a dedicated play area. Meyer Nature Walk is also among Glenbeulah’s village parks. Anton Barta Park is located at the Mullet River Dam site.

The village parks have clear hours of use: they are open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; being there outside these hours is not allowed. Dogs and bicycles are prohibited in the village parks at all times. Keep these rules in mind when planning a park visit or deciding which activities suit your stay.

The Glenbeulah Mill, also known as Grist Mill, is listed on the National Register. Historically, it was used as a processing and production site. It is associated with agriculture, exploration and settlement, and industry. The mill adds a look at local working and settlement history to the nature and park offerings, making it a different focus from the trails in Kettle Moraine State Forest.
