The Plaza Theatre is located at the northeast corner of the square and has stood there for nearly a century.

The Barber Hills Mountain Bike Trails at Pat Mayse Lake, north of Paris, offer another way to experience the landscape. Crappie fishing is particularly good at Pat Mayse Lake; channel catfish and flathead catfish can also be found there. Channel catfish provide especially good sport-fishing opportunities. In Paris, the Paris Sports Complex also includes Pump Track Paris. The Paris Farmers and Artisan Market attracts more than 35 vendors from the region every Saturday. Music is also part of Paris’s character. The City of Paris Municipal Band holds the record as the longest continuously performing municipal band in Texas and hosts a concert season every summer.
