Zumwalt's Fort is the only reconstructed settler fort from the War of 1812 in the state of Missouri. The parks also offer different focal points. Lake Whetsel in Fort Zumwalt Park covers 3.5 acres. O'Day Park covers 57 acres and includes an adventure playground as well as an outdoor amphitheater. For a clearly defined route, Dames Park is a good option: It has a one-mile paved path for walking and cycling. The Path of Heroes, by contrast, is a 7.8-mile route through the center of O'Fallon. CarShield Field is the home venue of the O’Fallon Hoots. Event inquiries are accepted for renting CarShield Field.
