At 603 acres, Indian Camp Creek Park is the largest park in St. Charles County. The Jeannie Moe Memorial Native Plant Educational Garden covers 8 acres with native Missouri plants, walking paths and benches.

For families, the accessible adventure playground at Veterans Tribute Park, with a water-play area for children of all abilities, is a specific place to visit. Those looking for additional nature experiences can hike, take a scenic drive and photograph wildlife in the August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area. Kinetic Park in Dardenne Prairie has an outdoor skate course.

Lakes, Paddling Opportunities and Other Excursions

370 Lakeside Park has a 140-acre recreational lake for fishing and boating as well as trails for cycling and hiking. Park at New Melle Lakes has an 18-hole disc golf course; kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding are also possible there. Riverside Landing is the first access point to the Dardenne Creek Blueway. From there, you can paddle toward 370 Lakeside Park.

Katy Trail State Park also has a historical connection: the section between Cooper County and St. Charles County is designated as an official segment of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail.
