Mont Tremblant brings together mountains, a lake and experiences with very different characters. The summit is 875 meters high and offers views of the Laurentians. A panoramic gondola takes you up from the pedestrian village; on the way up, you can already see Lac Tremblant, the Laurentian forest and the surrounding mountains. There are also activities on the water, a long ski run and a historical walking tour of the town. When planning your trip, it’s worth first considering which of these sides of the area you’re most curious about.

Mountain Views with Two Ways to Get There

At the top of Mont Tremblant stands a three-story, 360-degree observation tower. It’s free to access via the 360° Trail after a ride on the panoramic gondola, or by hiking to the summit. This gives you two different ways to include the viewpoint in your day: ride up from the pedestrian village or walk the trail. During the gondola ride, views open up over the lake, forest and mountains; at the summit, the view stretches across the Laurentians.

From the Ski Resort to Cycling Trails

If skiing is one of your travel interests, the Nansen run is a useful point of reference: at six kilometers, it’s the longest run in the Tremblant ski resort. Separately, the resort’s south slope has a vertical drop of 645 meters. These two figures describe different aspects of the ski resort and can help you decide what to focus on during an active day. There’s also a named option for cyclists: Domaine Saint-Bernard offers more than 16 kilometers of shared trails accessible to cyclists. This gives you a choice between ski runs and trails, depending on which activity matters most for your trip.

Water, Beach and a Nighttime Experience

Parc Plage du lac Tremblant has a sandy beach, clear water and views of the mountains. A marked open-water swimming training course also starts right at Parc Plage. It runs through Lac Tremblant, is clearly marked and described as safe; swimmers of different ability levels can use it. A beach visit and swimming practice offer different reasons to spend time by the lake. For a very different pace, there’s Tonga Lumina: this immersive nighttime experience complements the summit views and water activities with something to enjoy after dark.

Discover Local History and Character

The historical walking tour “Les voies de notre histoire” follows 24 panels and 10 information signs distributed throughout the town of Mont-Tremblant. Those interested in local history can include several stops around town in their exploration. For families, the tour can be a cultural counterpoint to a day spent at the summit, by the lake or enjoying sports activities. Another useful point of reference is the paved La Villageoise-de-Mont-Tremblant trail: it is 11.6 kilometers long and connects the Village sector with the Tremblant resort center.

Choose Your Accommodation Based on What Matters Most

When searching for a vacation rental, it helps to prioritize the experiences that will shape your trip. If you want to focus on the summit, gondola and observation tower, the pedestrian village is an important point of reference for planning. If you’d rather spend most of your time by the water, you can use Parc Plage as a reference point; for culture lovers, the historical tour stops spread throughout town are relevant. Compare the location of your accommodation with the starting points that matter to you, rather than treating every activity as part of one uniform itinerary. This makes it easier to choose a place that suits your travel group’s interests.

If you’d like to discover more places to visit, you can also explore Val-David, Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré, La Conception, Lac-Supérieur, Sainte-Agathe-Des-Monts, Val-Morin, Val-Des-Lacs and Village De Labelle.
