At Lake Zerenda, water, forest and mountains are closely intertwined with the character of the town. The lake is a freshwater lake with clear water and part of Kokshetau National Park. A pine forest grows directly beside the lake; the lakebed is mostly flat and sandy, and parts of the shore are covered with fine sand. Visitors can sunbathe, swim and fish at Lake Zerenda.
