Shortandy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Shortandy District Mosque was built in Shortandy and ceremonially opened in November 2009. The single-storey building in an Eastern style has a dome and two minarets.

Shortandy railway station was modernized, including the renovation of its interior spaces and technical systems. The modernization also included comfortable waiting areas, improved signage, and facilities for passengers with reduced mobility and for passengers traveling with children.

Culture

Shortandy’s leisure center was extensively renovated as part of the Auyl–El Besigi project. The renovated leisure center was designed as a recreational facility for people of all ages. It includes an auditorium, an art workshop, a dance studio, a library, and a coworking center.

Clubs for children’s theater, dombra, choreography, and pop singing, as well as a women’s singing group, resumed activities at the leisure center.

During a working visit to the Shortandy District, a renovated stadium was inspected. It has 1,250 seats, an artificial playing surface, and new running tracks.

Leisure

The swimming pool in Shortandy has a 25-by-11-meter pool with five lanes and a water depth of 1.4 meters. The swimming pool was designed with appropriate facilities for visitors with disabilities.

The swimming pool building also includes a massage room, a doctor’s office, an exercise area, and a café. Shortandy’s central park reopened after its reconstruction.
