Hiking trails around Korchyn
Hiking trail 5046 starts in the Shlyakhta area of Korchyn. It is 14 km long, rated difficult, and listed with a walking time of 5–6 hours. After crossing a bridge over the Velyka Richka, the route follows a forest road for five kilometers through the river valley to Hurkalo Waterfall. Further along, route 5046 passes through an old beech forest to Mount Dil. The old beech forest on Mount Dil is characterized by beech trees up to 1.5 m in diameter.
Tourist trail 5010 starts at a signpost in Korchyn before the bridge. It then follows the Velyka Richka valley along a forest road toward Mount Parashka. You can return the same way, walk back to Korchyn via the Mala Richka area, or descend to the town of Skole along a forest path.
If you are looking for a holiday apartment in Korchyn, the type of route can help you decide where to stay: trail 5046 combines a challenging rating with a specified length and walking time, while trail 5010 offers three options for returning or descending. For families, the difficulty rating is a planning factor to compare with your own hiking experience.

Forest, waterfall, and mountain
Hurkalo Waterfall is nearby, with a drop of five meters. A rock ledge divides one cascade into two streams. One carries significantly more water; during dry periods, the smaller stream almost disappears. The cascade formation and differing water flows give the waterfall a changing appearance.
Parashka, also known less commonly as Paraska, is the highest peak of the ridge of the same name in the Skole Beskids. It is located near Korchyn at 1,268.5 m above sea level. Tourist trail 5010 runs in the direction of this mountain.
Memorial sites nearby
Near Korchyn, in the Potashnie area, on the left beyond the river and beside the remains of a narrow-gauge railway bridge, there is a symbolic grave at the place where OUN-UPA security officer Ivan Korchynskyi died. He was also known as “Korchak” and “Varyaha.”
Also nearby, from 1944 to 1948, were the OUN-UPA’s main propaganda service center, the information office of the Ukrainian Supreme Liberation Council, and printing presses under the leadership of Petro Poltava.
