The Vormsele FVO area also includes the long rapids of Vormforsen and Linaforsen. Those who choose a holiday apartment or holiday home in Vormsele as their base can therefore plan their trip in many different ways: with nature observation, fishing opportunities, historical discoveries and excursions to the water.

Rapids, Fishing Waters and Trails

In the section of the Vindelälven managed by Vormsele FVO, several rapids offer fishing for trout, grayling and salmon. Lake fishing for trout and char is possible in Abborrtjärn. In the wider region, children and young people up to and including the age of 15 can fish free of charge in Vormsele FVO. These varied waters appeal both to families with young anglers and to travellers who want to plan their days specifically around a river or lake.

There are also specific destinations for shorter outings. Nearby, a walking trail on a mountain slope forms a loop of just over 1.5 km up the mountain. On Blåviksberget, old pine forests indicate the presence of beetles that depend on recently dead pinewood. These include Tallbarksvartbagge, Cholodkovsky's bark beetle and Tallstumpbagge.

The easiest access to Vormforsen is from Road 363 between Rusksele and Vormsele; there are two access points. At the SÖ Grillplats, an easily accessible path with a ramp leads from the car park to a platform with a wind shelter, tables and a permanently installed barbecue. Between Björksele and Vormsele, near Linaforsen, there is also a wind shelter and a barbecue by flowing water. The Sagostigen trail at Vormforsen may be difficult for smaller children and is not accessible with a pushchair or wheelchair. This information should be part of your day planning when travelling with different age groups.
