Lillkyrka combines open landscapes, clearly distinct hiking options and remarkable cultural history. Those looking for a holiday apartment or holiday home for a trip with varied days will find a range of opportunities here: short paths, longer hiking sections, historical traces and destinations offering play areas, cafés or arts and crafts.

Trails through forests, meadows and open landscapes

The Lillkyrka exercise trail is 2.5 kilometres long. It includes a short 600-metre loop, also known as Mullespåret.

Another option is the Lillkyrka fornstig. The circular trail is three kilometres long, passes through forests and meadows, and is easy to walk. Along the route lies Finnhögen, the largest burial mound on Lillkyrka's fornstig. It dates from the Viking Age and also makes the trail interesting for visitors who want to combine nature with historical traces.

For a longer hike, section 27 of the Upplandsleden begins at the sports field in Lillkyrka. Parking spaces are available there. From the stop in Lillkyrka, it is also possible to walk half of section 27 to Kungs-Husby kyrka; this route is approximately five kilometres long. Water is available at Lillkyrka församlingsgård at any time for section 27.

Medieval church and local history

Lillkyrka Church is a small medieval Romanesque church made of grey stone with a tarred shingle roof. It originally dates from the late 13th century and was first mentioned in 1303 during an archiepiscopal visitation. Medieval images of Mary and Christ have been preserved inside.

The furnishings also include a burial chapel built in the 16th century, known as the Oxenstiernska or Eka burial chapel. Two 16th-century gravestones add to this historical impression. The organ also has a clear local connection: P. O. Gullbergsson, a local organ builder and resident of Lillkyrka, built it in 1840.

Park, café and handicrafts

Trögdsparken combines landscaped park areas, play areas and open lawns with low shrub vegetation. Jowilins lada has an outdoor children's playground. Jowilins lada is also a café and excursion destination offering homemade pastries and open sandwiches. A gallery there displays paintings and handicrafts.

Sense living also has its own distinctive character. There is a 4,000-square-metre garden in an 18th-century farm complex; guided tours are offered at 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00. This allows you to weigh up active trails, cultural-historical sights and quieter excursion destinations according to your personal interests when choosing your accommodation.
