Eslöv combines remarkable buildings, local history and green spaces for memorable experiences. Those planning a trip with culture, exercise and a variety of activities will find different options here for planning each day. When looking for a holiday apartment or holiday home, you can therefore first consider whether historical discoveries, time in the parks or activities with children should be the main focus.

Discover the city’s history in special places

The Eslöv City Museum is located in a merchant’s house dating from 1892 at Östergatan 5 in Eslöv. The Eslövsresan exhibition offers another perspective on the town’s development. It takes visitors through various themed stations and shows Eslöv from the first decade of the 20th century as it transitioned from an agricultural to an industrial society, as well as the major changes of the following century.

Individual buildings also tell stories of different eras. Eslöv railway station is a protected historic building, was built in 1914 and is the third station building at this location. It was also the first railway station in Sweden with level-free access to the platforms via a tunnel for passenger and luggage traffic. Stenberget was created in 1887 by brewery director Christian E Nilsson, who was also known as the “Eslöv King”. He built the site using stones left over from the construction of his villa.

Those interested in architecture can include Medborgarhuset in their plans. It was inaugurated on 28 September 1957 and is now an architectural heritage site visited by students and architecture enthusiasts from around the world. Eslöv Church is a Neo-Gothic brick church; its style is known as “Eslöv Gothic”. In addition, Bian Cinema at Köpmansgatan 8 in central Eslöv offers afternoon and evening screenings.

Parks, exercise and experiences with children

For a break surrounded by greenery, visit Eslövs allmänning, also known as Fäladen. The nature reserve in central Eslöv has walking paths, benches and a barbecue area. Trollsjöområdet offers a different park setting: a large park area around Trollsjön in Eslöv. It has an 18-hole disc golf course with holes of varying lengths.

The Trollsjön playground adds swings, a trampoline, slides and a climbing tower with a climbing path and climbing ramp to the area. This makes it possible to combine quieter walks with more active breaks without limiting your stay to just one type of activity. Karlsrobadet adventure pool also has four water slides, expanding the options for a day filled with exercise.

The right base for your travel plans

When choosing your accommodation in Eslöv, you can consider the pace you want for your trip: Depending on your plans, a holiday apartment or holiday home can suit days filled with culture, exercise in green surroundings or activities enjoyed together.

For further travel planning, you can also explore Marieholm, Stehag, Harlösa, Stockamöllan and Flyinge.
