Hjortsberga offers a range of opportunities for holiday days combining nature, water and culture. The Hjortsberga beach promenade is approximately one kilometre long and runs between Sågen and Hjortsbergagården/Los. If you would like to plan a longer route, the Hjortsberga lit trail offers a path of approximately 2.1 kilometres. This allows you to plan your days around short walks, longer stretches of trail or additional excursions, without having to fit every experience into the same schedule.

Trails and landscapes around Hjortsberga

West of Hjortsberga lies the small Sjöatorp nature reserve. It includes a low, characteristically ridge-shaped glacial gravel moraine typical of the area. An old village road runs along the ridge. On both sides are grazed areas with scattered pine and birch trees. This landscape combines a distinct natural setting with visible evidence of the area's historical use.

For families who enjoy combining different daily rhythms, the various routes provide a simple basis for planning. This means you can already take the desired walking distance into account when choosing your holiday apartment or holiday home.

Losbadet and Hjortsbergagården

Losbadet has a sandy beach, a long wheelchair ramp, toilets and changing rooms. This makes it possible to consider a day of swimming and practical needs together when planning your trip, without assuming any additional features of the bathing area. You can reach the site from Road 25: At the Hjortsberga sign, turn right, then turn left at the road near the railway and follow the road to Hjortsbergagården.

Hjortsbergagården is a year-round course and camp facility and has space for craft courses. Fishing licences and canoes are also available for hire there. Those wishing to plan a stay involving water activities, craft activities or days spent close to nature can include these options in their accommodation and itinerary considerations.

Discover the church and local history

In the vicinity of Hjortsberga, Hjortsberga Church was built in 1838–1839 to designs by Samuel Enander. The church was built in the neoclassical style. It contains the altarpiece “The Resurrection of Christ”, painted by Uno Angerstein in 1846. This makes the church particularly suitable as a specific sightseeing stop for a cultural visit, bringing together architectural history and a single work of art.

Hjortsberga Church is located approximately 1.5 kilometres northeast of the village of Hjortsberga and is signposted from Road 25. The local history also refers to two railway station buildings: The first was built of wood, while the replacement station building was subsequently built of brick. Alongside nature and swimming, details like these provide another thematic perspective for planning your trip.
